Hi!

Shelby Studio is a one-woman creative house owned and operated by me, Gillian. I craft heirloom textile and ceramic pieces through playful visual storytelling which give your spaces a vibrant voice and help turn your house into a home. I use my toolkit of texture, pattern and colour to provide high value and handmade alternatives to the mass-produced, life-less objects filling our interior spaces.

Gillian Maradyn-Jowsey is an interdisciplinary artist living in Lunenburg, NS. She graduated from NSCAD University in 2017 with a BFA in Ceramics. She creates functional and sculptural work grounded in her interest in craft and design for everyday living. When she's not in her studio, you’ll find her digging around in her garden or getting lost in the woods with her dog Frances.
